We are a small and friendly preschool that provides excellent full and part-time childcare, as well as helping children prepare for their transition into life at primary school.

The preschool room is home for our children aged 2 – 4 years. The children follow the early years foundation stage and have a vast variety of opportunities daily. We believe that a child learns best when they are having fun and are playing with something that interest them. Therefore, we provide lots of opportunities for child lead learning.

 

Each child has a key worker. The key worker’s role is to develop trusting and sensitive relationships with parents and children to enable respectful sharing of information. We like to work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop. All parents complete an “All About Me” profile before their children join us and this relationship parental input continues.

 

The benefit of being a small setting is that we have the time to work closely with all the children, encouraging their interests and ideas. We place a great emphasis on developing friendships and respecting each other. After all, many of our children will be moving up to school together, and we help them create those all-important bonds that can last for years!

 

Sports 4 tots

We are extremely lucky to have Nick from Sports 4 Tots who attends the preschool every week to give the children PE lessons and they love them!

Every week Nick teaches a different sport for all the children to join in with. Each lesson focuses on learning core skills around that sport.
